How it works

Just Before the Event

We will discuss and determine the right sized canvas for your wall space, what scene, scenario, and subject matter (wedding couple, guests of honor) you want rendered, specific arrival time, and any other last minute concerns you may have. 

Day of the Event

I arrive two hours before the event begins, set up my easel and supplies, and begin rendering the backdrop of your chosen scene. As guests arrive, the painting continues to evolve and come to life throughout the event. Depending on the level of detail desired, you can leave with the painting at the event’s conclusion or it can be finished to predetermined specs in my studio at no extra charge. 

My Style

Capturing the festive energy and reflected light of the occasion- whether day or night- is always my goal. I paint in a loose, “painterly” manner best described as “impressionistic realism” using acrylic paint, oil pastel, and exclusively non toxic materials as a rule.

Pricing

My 2021-2022 flat rate is $3,500 - $5,000 depending on location. The cost is inclusive of all expenses. I am based in San Francisco, CA.

Decorum

Rest assured I will be seen but not seen. My footprint will be minimal and you can be sure I will leave no trace upon my departure. I love to interact with guests as I work, when appropriate as of course I am a performer as well. But with that in mind, a performer that is not front and center, but a discreet, dignified, warm and observant participant in the event.
